Dementia Care for In Home Carers

Older Australians living with dementia may have a difficult time communicating their wants and needs to their carer. In this set, in-home carers will learn the skills they need to compassionately care for older Australians living with dementia.

By the end of this question set, learners will be able to:

• Implement appropriate techniques when early intervention opportunities are recognised.
• Implement techniques to deal with the impact of compassion fatigue when it is recognised
• Execute appropriate response techniques to manage behaviours of concern when recognised
